Safety image because the car was that gross. This customer’s dog had an “accident” in the car this morning and I was tasked with making it look like it never happened.
Before:
And after:
I went through about 10 pairs of gloves during this detail.

My sister once transported a goat in the back of her ex boyfriend’s Corolla from Kansas to norther Wisconsin. I had to clean that back seat. In other words I fell your pain.

That is horrendous. I don’t think I could have done that unless I had a tyvek suit and a face mask.

I will never forget the smell. I pulled over and nearly puked on my way to the detail center.

This guy!
Before I saw the car, my manager said “you’re about to have a shitty day!”
I now want to punch him in the face haha

I hope so. The guy is paying $100/hour for this and I’m on hour three, so I doubt there will be a tip involved unfortunately.

Sometimes we get all the shit jobs. Lol.
You did a great job there fella.
I know the pain all too well. I bet you went through a bit more anti-bacterial and enzyme destroyer than I did. Lol.

I nearly puked driving it to the detail center. Like, I had to pull over and was gagging on the side of the road.

It looks like a PI too bad it didn’t have a vinyl seat. Would have been a lot easier to clean.

Wow, that looks great!
I went through an obscene amount of cleaning supplies.

Oh ya I wore a mask from start to finish. It was the first time I legitimately needed to wear one.

Ye’, but the car I had to do was a crappy Ford Focus Mk1.
Cases like these are when wet/dry vacuums really come into there own and become a godsend.

When I worked at a dealership we took in a Cavalier with an interior possibly worse than that. An inch think layer of dog hair on every inch of the car. We gave her 1000 bucks for it, on a used Camry that we had at a stupid high price, and sent it straight to the auction.

I would of taken it on as a challenge.
I was a ‘sponge monkey’ when I first left school and my idiot boss took in a Citroen XM estate. He wanted to send it to auction but I took it on and did three hours on it each day for three days in my spare time.
Took in a lot more money when it finally went to auction.

What would you recommend for getting rid of general dirt and dye from dark wash jeans? I like dark jeans, but my driver’s seat doesn’t agree. I’ve had my car for three years, but honestly, the seat started to look stained about a year in. I bought Meguiar’s foaming upholstery cleaner (pictured below) and it didn’t really do much good. Also, contrary to its advertising, it did feel sticky afterwards.

You should get hazard pay for that job. I hope you got a decent tip.

Were that my car, I might not have even tried to clean it up. I’d probably put my gloves on and clean everything but the seat bottom, and looked for another one to replace it.
Good job!

Cloth seats I assume? You can get some upholstery wipes and those usually get stuff up immediately. I can’t remember the kind that I use at work off the top of my head, but I’ll find out ASAP and let you know!

I have a feeling that the guy left the dog in the car alone. Dog got sick, had to go and the owner was obviously gone. There was poop literally everywhere in the car.

Yep, and thanks!
The directions on that can say to spray, let soak for a bit and then wipe with a damp, clean towel, followed by a dry towel. Did that, and it didn’t really make a difference. I was so sad.

I'm pretty sure you got the before and after shots switched around, because otherwise this is impossible. Very nice!
